Postdoctoral Positions in Bioinformatics
at Stowers Institute for Medical Research
The Stowers Institute for Medical Research in Kansas City, MO,
provides outstanding opportunities for training within a stimulating and
interactive environment. Institute scientists conduct broad-based,
interdisciplinary research directed at understanding the genetic, molecular
and cellular pathways that control how multicellular organisms are normally
formed and patterned and how they are altered in disease. Postdoctoral
fellowship positions in bioinformatics are currently available in the lab of
Arcady Mushegian, Director of Bioinformatics. Fellows may work on
computational analysis of sequence-structure-function relationships in
proteins (examples in
Curr Opin Genet Dev 1999 9:709-714;
Genome Res 2000 10:1468-1484),
on development of statistical methods of analysis of protein
domain repertoires in completely sequenced genomes.
Requirements: Ph.D. in any discipline; knowledge of molecular biology
and genome technologies; C/C++/Perl, Unix/Linux.
Interested persons should contact via e-mail:
